Formerly a longtime resident of Melville, Johannesburg, Suzanne launched Melville News in 2008 as a free newsletter aimed at fostering goodwill among residents, merchants and visitors to the suburb. Later, Dehan Liebenberg, an estate agent in the area, paid for a print version to be distributed simultaneously. Reluctant to leave its printing in anyone else’s hands, Suzanne managed both versions herself – a demanding commitment when she was also attending to clients of Prowrite. She kept it going until 2011 when she moved the Melville News archive to this website.
